You can have a simple blood test to determine if you have the antibodies for shingles/chickenpox. Definitely speak to your doctor to make sure you and baby are healthy

You can still get shingles even if you've already had chicken pox. Most people get shingles because the virus is already inside them from having the chicken pox. It's more dangerous for a pregnant woman.

Shingles are not contagious unless you've never had chicken pox. If you've had chicken pox your OK. Just don't mess with the infected area of your husband and have him keep it bandaged.

Have you had chicken pox, shingles, or the vaccine before? If you have then you're probably ok and already have resistance. While pregnant your immune system isn't as strong so while you're probably ok its best to limit your exposure as much as possible.

Yes it is... Especially if ur pregnant! They can be contagious. My husband came down with the shingles when I was around 5 months pregnant. N his doctor told him that it can be very dangerous for a pregnant woman, so he had to stai away from me n our 3 year old for a week or so Bcus I didn't want to take any chances. Just be careful:-)
