Practice mediating! And use that same calm mindset to cope with the pain!
What help me was to maintain control of ur breathing. A slow steady breathe in n out. As if ur running a long distance race. Help me not get over exhausted n helped with the labour pains. So I could save my energy n strength for the pushing.
Go ahead and have your bag and baby's bag packed and ready to go incase it happens. Plus don't forget the car seat! Just stay calm and relax the best you can. It happens so fast you don't really have time to think about it. I went in on a Saturday night and had my daughter sunday afternoon.
This may sound like no advice at all but really it helped me, I thought of my son to get me thought the whole labor and to keep my nerve. I just tryed to imagine his little nose and finger and how close I was to meeting him. If you need any other advice I'm glad to help.
