Flu Shot

Got discharged from the hospital on Thursday :) still healing from a c section. before I was discharged they had me get the flu shot.. and what do you know, been in bed with a 101.1 fever, body chills and soreness...

I'm a nurse and with 100% certainty can tell you that you did not get the flu or any illness from the flu shot. It's not a live virus. There is a chance to get another strain of the flu that the virus isn't covered by the current vaccine. In any case I would say you should call your doc as it is more likely complications from your recent c section.

Yea after my c section I got really bad fevers and night sweats and everything turned out to be ok..it was just a weird coincidence.

You can't get the fly from the flu shot as it is a,dead virus in the shot. If your sick, you probably picked up something while in the hospital and given time for the incubation period you had to have picked it up, not showing symptoms during the incubation period until now.

Call your obgyn and notify of your fever.
