38. 4 days 1Cm 40% effaced

How long did labor start for you ladies? I went to triage last night and my contractions were 6 min apart but wasn't dialated enough to be kept.! just how long do you stay at 1 cm? I am anxious already to meet her!!

I have been 1cm since 36weeks And I am due in 2 days.  At my 39week appointment I was still 1cm. Everyone's different though some woman dilate just instantly all of a sudden.

You can be 1cm for weeks and not go onto labor. I was 1cm 50% effaced three weeks ago. I am 38.5 days and have still not gone into labor.

I had a super small spotting on my panty liner on 10/28 at 2am. Called the hospital, then dr told me I was 2cm. I was surprised bc I didn't have any pain at all. I started to get contraction s few minutes after I left the hospital. When I got home I tried to go sleep but couldn't and was in bed for two hours then I called the dr again bc it was 3 mins apart. Went back to the hospital and I was 4cm. I
delivered my baby that day at 10pm.
My baby was 2 weeks early. I did nothing to induce her bc I believe when the baby is ready then it will happen. Stress can delay labor. Good luck
