cough medicine?

I am a seasoned mother expecting baby # 5 (12 weeks). Never have I experienced a virus quite like the one stricking our home now. I am up all night coughing. What if anything is safe to use to control the cough and sleep?? Thanks!

Sound gross but a old home remady we used is a shot gass half vinager half honey honey on top so it coats, the vinager kills infections. Also goldenseal herbs keep you from getting sick again. I had broncitus im only 6 weeks with baby number 5 and thats what urgent care said to do. Had to wait it out bur im all better and babys still alive. That's all that mattered to me.

A teaspoon of honey is great also. You can have as much as you want!

Thanks for the advice! My cough is waking others and is so out of control. I tried some tea before bed tonight so here is to hoping for a quiet evening!

Number 5 is our completetion. We have 2 daughters and a son at home, a son in heaven and time will tell who is on the way!

Yay! I am expecting my fifth to. :) it's nice to see someone else with a big family. OK. On to the important thing. Try lemon drops soaked in sweet tea for the cough. (Totally safe and what my grandmother used for my whole life.) Unisom is safe for most pregnancies if you have trouble sleeping. Hope everyone feels better soon.
