so much pain and so lost....

Had this emergency surgery.today to drain fluid.off my kidney due to swelling and infection and its been such a long hard day... I'm 36 weeks and i'm so worried about all the meds.they've given me and the xrays and tests... They say baby.is great and everything is ok but I just feel like the worst mom ever for allowing the surgery because I was in pain and now I still am.... I don't know... I just keep praying. I really want hubby here but we really need him to get his hours.at work. And I just feel all alone.. :'(

Mckayla- I was wondering that too, but OB and the urologist really want to keep her in atleast another week, maybe longer if this pain and infection clear.away.. :(

And thank you Hollywood.... It's just that its just as painful and a whole.other set of problems seem to be appearing since we did this. And the nurses are like "we.need to wean you off stadol(its the strong iv pain med). Just some hydrocodone orally will be better" so I take what they say. It doesn't do anything and the first one keeps wearing off and an hour later I'm crying in the fetal position and the nurse is like "do you want to try some aspirin till you can have the hydrocodone again in four  hours?"  A; I don't want to take aspirin, B; that stuff obviously isn't working and I'd rather just stay here crying than to move enough to swallow anything.... So an hour later she comes back with something for the IV. But I'm afraid this cycle will just continue :(

Hun your doctor wouldn't have allowed the surgery if it was harmful to your baby!! I'm sorry to hear your in pain try an ice pack on the direct area of what's causing the pain. You'd be surprised how much ice really helps. YOUR NOT A BAD MOM!! You have to be healthy too.... In order to take care of your new addition!! Hope you feel better soon!!
