please help ease my mind

Okay so I had my baby in October and did my 6 week check up last month they did my pap smer and it came back abnormal so I have to go back to the obgyn and get some tissue removed and sent to the lab but how do they do this procedure does it hurt? And was you able to carry your baby full term when you got pregnant again because I seen that when the doctors do it can mess up cervix to not being able to carry full term or having a miscarriage and I'm so worried about this and that I won't be able to have another one please any information would be helpful

I definitely will do they numb you at all and can you feel it when they clip it off?

Its not that bad. They just clip a biopsy off your cervix. I would take some extra strength Tylenol before you go in. You might be a little lightheaded after they take it, which is normal with cervix manipulation. I've had if done several times.

As for the procedure,  it was very much like another PAP.  But more uncomfortable. I think they snip a little bit of the cervix. Not sure. Like I said it was 8 years ago.  I had a little spotting after.  But I had also gotten the IUD. And that was majorly uncomfortable also. Hope that helps a bit.

I had it done after my 2nd child.  Very uncomfortable.  But after that every pap came back normal.  That was 8 years ago.  Now I'm 34 weeks with my third child and no complications.

I had it done when I was 18 or 19 and yes it hurt.  They said it would feel like pressure but it hurt.
