Curious?

I went to the er nd they said we were pregnant...My hcg levels were in the 400s, went back Monday for a follow up nd the Dr did blood test nd my hcg levels went down to the 200 range...He told me I miscarried without even doing an ultrasound...I have an appt next week, should I worry til then?

I was bleeding nd cramping as though my cycle was on, then after five days it was off....They did an ultrasound during the first visit...This is my first nd Idk what to expect....my hcg was 475 then dropped to 280....

There would not be any point in doing an ultrasound with an hCG level of 400 or 200.  Those are numbers for a very early pregnancy, and the embryo would be too small to appear on an ultrasound whether or not the pregnancy is viable.  Your doctor would have been wasting your time to do an ultrasound even with a count of 400.  All you can do is another blood test to see what direction things are moving.  I'm sorry.

That's how it went for me last July. No ultrasound. I ended up calling my OBGYN and telling them how my 2 appointments went at the ER and they had me come in to take a pregnancy test. If it was negative I was fine. Which it was.
