Not all babies take them. My sisters baby won't take one shes a boob baby she won't take a bottle either. But my son breastfeeds takes a bottle and pacifier.

They tell you not to use a pacifier when breatsfeeding as it can cause nipple confusion and promote poor attachment causing you to become sore. I personally dont agree with these pacifiers we just have to find out what settles our babies..its not nice seeing them sucking on things like that when they get older..they can cause bad teeth..poor speech..drooling and can make a child become to dependant on them..but thats just my opinion..our health professionals in the uk try to discourage mums from using them for these reasons..but i also understand people who still go onto use them its what ever works best for yourself

My husband reminded me that our daughter didn't like any pacifier, despite our best efforts, for a few months. She would make the cutest 'icky' face, haha! But eventually she did take any pacifier we'd give her until we took it away for good last month, just after her second birthday. When she was a month or so old, I got thrush from her just wanting to pacify on me, so I know where you're coming from! Maybe just keep trying the pacifier, it may eventually work, good luck!

They say if you ate breast feeding is not a good idea to give a pacifier.  My first never took one even tho I did try.  So I just let him be.  I also did the pinkie trick like another poster said. With this one I won't be giving a pacifier or even trying one. Good luck!  ♡

My friend's son never took a pacifier. My daughter would suck on any brand I put in her mouth. Have you tried letting her suck on your pinkie finger?

Have you tried nuk? Both my babies ended up being thumbsuckers, so I probably won't be much help.

Not all babies enjoy pacifiers.  My son was breastfed and I would give him a pacifier which he would suck on for a few mins then spit it out.  By 3 mos he completely didn't accept it.  Just let baby be without it if she's not fussing.

She makes 8 weeks tomorrow and I've been exclusively breastfeeding no bottles just nursing.  I have an over supply of milk shes just using me as a pacifier/comfort sucking which i don't mind but when people hold her she gets fussy and its not bc shes hungry it would be nice to get her to take a pacifier to calm her. She spits up alot from over eating to fulfill her sucking needs that's another reason I'd like to find a pacifier

How old is your baby. It could be cluster feeding. My second child did this. Good luck to you.

How long have you been nursing.  She may be trying to bump up your milk supply.  If she is not hungry may just lay with her skin to skin
