feeding yourself

At the moment I feel like the world's worst mother ever. I am 31 and ftm at about 8 weeks pregnant. I have completely lost my desire to eat. Strangely though I feel hungry all the time but except for fruits can't take anything in. My doctor has started me on vitamin  b supplement but that cant be enough. the smell of food is so hard to tolerate that I barely manage to cook for my husband. Any advice.

Most women have trouble eating at that many weeks and you will probably feel that way till you are in second trimester... dont feel bad...

The good thing is you don't actually need any extra calories until your second trimester and by then you should be feeling better.

As long as you can take your vitamins and easy what you can to stay healthy the baby will be fine. Also make sure you're still drinking lots of water. I eat mostly fruit and yogurt at the moment.

With my first pregnancy I ate all the time. Nothing seemed to bother me. This time around I hardly eat. I did to a point at first but now im 18 weeks almost 19 and some days I can only eat a small thing of peaches and some cheese without feeling sick. I try to just eat small amounts of things when I do so I dont get sick. Sometimes soup isnt bad. Maybe try that. Just a thought.

Its really common in first trimester. Lots of mums lose weight or don't gain in their first trimester because eating and keeping it down is pretty tricky. Luckily those crazy hormones settle down for the majority of us in second trimester. Try to enjoy tge ride!
