feeling sad and frustrated

I'm a ftm and have a 3 week old. She cries all the time even when she is fed, changed, and all the 9 yards. She sleeps very little as in only 8-10 hours in a 24 hour period and ive read where babies usually sleep 16-20 hours...The only thing to get her to stop is if I ignore and let her cry it out which she eventually stops..

I'm so tired, I havent slept for more than 2-3 hours at a time since I brought her home . I've been so emotional and that's not like me at all. My doc basically said, some babies cry more than others.

Im going through a rough time, please tell me this is gonna get better. I don't knnow how else to comfort her.

Swing helped my daughter and a car ride! Also yes babies cry a lot they can't do anything else but cry and girls tend to do it a lot more then boys from what I've experienced!  Maybe she's having tummy problems my daughter was about 4 wks and she had a protein allergies and had to be on a special formula!  She could have gas.... the list goes on and on! And sorry hun but UT going to be emotional and tired that's what babies do to u!

Do you have family or friends near you who can help? The first few months is hard on mom & baby. Remember to take breaks and try to get help. The time does go by and it does get easier. I remember the first month was hard but you just get thru. Hang in there. You are not alone!

My niece was like that. What we discovered was that she would sleep longer in her car seat and baby swing. I hope that helps. Good luck.
