giant baby

So I just had my 32 week u/s and check up and baby boy is already 5.1lbs... Average is 3.5-3.75 for 32 weeks... My daughter 3.5 if I remember correctly and she was just shy of 8lbs at birth!!! They said because I'm having a section they won't take him early due to size so he'll get to cook all the way til 40 weeks :-) they are guessing he'll be 9.5-10lbs but I understand u/s estimates can be off but anyways should I not get newborn clothes? You can tell from the pictures that he is chunky so I don't want him to not fit in his picture or coming home outfit! Any ideas?

Oh no they offered to take him at 39 weeks but unless I go into labor (which they say is a slim chance because my body won't labor at all) I want him to cook as long as he can :-) I figure the longer he's in the better so a few extra days won't kill me... I went 9 days late with my daughter and didn't mind so much

My son was 9lbs 12oz and skipped newborn diapers and clothes also.. no little crochet hat  from the hospital would fit lol.  he was fine in 0-3 months for a couple weeks :) we had to have my mom go get clothes to bring him home in.

That's true I've had a sono just about every month and she's been measuring ahead since day 1 I'm measuring 35-36 weeks via sono and belly measurements and I look like I'm due any day according to everyone I come in contact.I feel like she's big as well

My last baby was 8lbs 14oz and he wore newborn clothes but grew out of them fast, so I would say to buy just a couple things but not much so you dont waste your money and go for more 0-3 and up

I had a really big baby and am now pregnant with my second. I had him vaginally but it was rough so I was worried that I might have another big one, even tho I can already tell by the size of my stomach that she's not going to be. At 31 weeks they are saying she's 3 lbs 8 oz so I looked in my pregnancy journal that I kept with my son and at 31 week sono he was already 4 lbs 11 oz! And ended up being 10 lbs 3 oz at birth haha so I would say you could definitely be in for a big baby! My son never wore newborn diapers or clothes. He went straight to 3-6 months clothes. And didn't even stay there very long. I would skip the newborn stuff!

Bring newborn and 0-3 month outfit to be sure :-)  I don't know why they won't do it earlier here they always do the c sections a WK before your due date. I have to have a repeat one I'm due January 9 and told my section will be the 1 or 2 of Jan. They don't want Me to go into labor on my own And if I do they will take him earlier.
