hard to breathe

I have this spot on my back, under my shoulder blade with a dull ache so intense it's hard to breathe. The pain seems to penetrate my lung and make it hard for me to breathe. Then conversely the seems to be a slight inflammation under my bottom rib on my chest, this causes a sharp but less intense pain than the spot on my back. The two seem to be connected as they happen simultaneously, when I'm in any sort of sitting position and intensify probably three fold after I eat. The only way to alleviate the pain is to lie down on my back, or to stand up. After a while of lying on my back I can turn side to side, but cannot lay on my side before my back or the pain will not disperse.

My husband had given me back rubs and popped my back to try and help but it does nothing. Any ideas, on what's wrong and what I can do to fix it, because it's getting hard to get out of bed.

No chocking or anything like that no.  I'll ask about that as well. I or a call in on Friday and they told me they'd check it out at my reg appt on Tuesday, I was going if I could on down the problem I could figure out a way to eliminate the pain in a way that didn't restrict me to a non moving lob on the couch so I could resume exorcise and day to say interaction with my 6 year old beyond watching more TV than is healthy for her, or independent play time that boarders on what feels like neglect, and keep up with the housework lol. Oh well, cross your fingers for some answers and solutions come Tuesday. :-)

Well it sounds like you could have a piece of food lodged in your lung, have you choked or anything like that recently. I wld just be sure to call the Dr asap to let them know what's going on...

No, but I've had a few close calls right before the pain started one out two since. Only actually threw up once.

That's often what pleurisy feels like.  Ask the doc about that.

The pain is too localized to be any of those, unfortunately. I would say the area that is affected is only about the size of a quarter, and far too high on my back to be my kidneys. Thanks though. I had a friend tell me this morning it might be a displaced rib. I have an appt on Tuesday, I'll talk to my Dr then I guess. Again thank you for red feed back though. :-)

Could be a pinched nerve, kidney atone, kidney infection, or just your insides squished together. On what to do, you can try mire fluids in case it is a stone, you could call in and ask what you should do. Not sure how far you are. They can do a blood test as well to help rule things out. Try stretching in case it is a pinched nerve. Good luck. Not sure if it could be anything else.
