am I in labor???

So I'm 35 weeks and I've been 4cm dilated since 33 weeks I also lost my mucus plug then. All day today I've had lower back pain as if I was getting my period. Like around my hips and I sometimes feel pressure down low. I don't want to go to the hospital for nothing. I've been in L&D 3 times already so I don't want to go if its nothing. So far I don't have contractions just feel like I just started my period. Could this be labor? Or do I just need to rest?

Same here! I went to L&D twice in my 33rd week. They thought I would've had him by now but now he's taking his time  lol

It could be pre labor. I had the sane symptoms at 33 weeks and they were able to stop my contractions.

I went to see my doctor today and street checking me she said the head is much lower than it was on Tuesday. So I guess that's what all the cramping was. She thinks he will be here sometime this week! Eeeekk

Sounds like it could be braxton Hicks contractions, labor contractions wouldn't, ease up after switching positions

Well I switched sides and it seems to be helping so far. I will wait until I can distinguish contractions from this pain before I call. Thanks for the advice!

Everyone is different. You should go get checked bc there are women who don't have very strong contractions till they get to 7-8 cm dilation..Let us know!

There's a lot of pressure and aching especially in late pregnancy. Just part of the deal. My doc said just today - if you have to ask, its not labour. You will KNOW when its time because its gonna be painful regular contractions that you have to try to breathe and focus to get through. And he reiterated to use the 5 1 1 rule. Contractions 5 minutes apart that last for 1 minute for at least 1 hour straight. Or if water breaks come in immediately.
