Thank you guys! Yeah it's my first so I want to learn as much as I can! And get ideas on what to take so I can be ready.
My husband and I took them and they were great!! They were through our hospital and fun and informative. I think we both feel more prepared bc of them. We've also attend and breastfeeding class through babies r us that was very helpful as well. I think my husband got ore out of the bf class than I did even! They really laid out how all consuming it can be and ways he can support and help along the way. Very good stuff!!
We are definitely taking classes. I have heard great things about the Bradley Method classes but they are expensive. I like to have as much knowledge as possible and make sure you know ALL of your options. It's also a great way for your partner to know what's expected of them and how to best keep you comfortable.
I liked mine with my first child because I find it more.... comforting I guess? To learn in person. We learned all about labor and delivery and what to expect during recovery. I won't do it again but during my first it helped ease my worries about the process a little since knowledge is power as they say. Good luck. Hope this helps.
I'm 30 weeks and I didn't so far. Was also wondering about this. I just got back from a long trip to Zambia so maybe I missed my chance.
Has anyone taken them and really appreciated them? Or do books suffice?
