My Doctor felt the position of my baby.... Ultrasound confirmed she was head down... You also can tell by the kicks!

When I go for my midwife checks, she feels around my belly & presses it to see how she's laid. Last two times has been head down. I try it myself but cannot figure out how to do it lol

I was able to tell because I noticed most of his movement at the top of my stomach, felt like his legs kicking and by my next appointment dr confirmed he was head down through an ultrasound..

Lay on your back, feel for both ends(should be the two harder parts of your belly), and try to feel where most of the kicks are, Your doc should tell you if you happen to ask, When he/she goes in for heartbeat check then heads up/down should be the answer. I found out yesterday that my little girl is heads down(for now) but she still has plenty of room to do backflips. Good luck.

You can usually tell by feeling it.  If you can't- your dr can. Or by ultrasound. It doesn't matter how baby is positioned though up until around 36/37 weeks. Best of luck

They told me at my ultrasound but my dr also feels my belly and tells what position the baby is in.
