It was my due date and I was babysitting my cousin. Each time I got up to go potty I'd go but then after I done urinating an small amount of liquid came out but it was uncontrollable. I didn't think much of it until I called my doctor and they said to come in. Sure enough my water was leaking. They gave me pitocin bc I wasn't having any contractions and I pushed for 1.5 hours but finally my now 6.5 year old son was born 2 hours late of being born on his due date and his dad and older sisters birthday. Instead he was born on friday the 13th. :)
I went 9 days over and was induced because my water was leaking. I progressed to 2cm and got stuck there for about 20 hours. Her heartrate dropped so I had a section. Come to find out the cord was wrapped around Her neck. I guess my body knew she couldn't come out vaginally. My mothers birth story with me is identical... kinda cool
They had to break my water both times.
My 1st was simple, went walking got home used the restroom mucus plug came out. I freaked! Went straight to the l&d was pu o demerol and slept until I had to push. My 2nd was just given pitocin w/o drugs started pushing before the doc came in. The pain was too much to wait around for her.
Myself but couldn't stop went to l&d and it had broke they still had to do pitocin and I got an epidural pretty much right when I got in my room not really any pain but it lasted 18hours and then when it came time to push they practically held her in until my doc could get there!
I was sitting on the couch eating spaghetti got up to pee and water broke I thought I was peeing mysel
I was induced due to high blood pressure. They gave me 2 oz. of pitocin and that put me fully into labor. I started the pitocin close to noon and started pushing a little after 4 p.m. Pushed for 23 minutes. My dr. gave me an episiotomy and I tore badly. This time I would like to go into labor naturally. Other than the stitches from tearing and the episiotomy I think my labor was smooth.
The day after my due date i woke up with period like cramps and my sister said that was how her labours started. Then in the afternoon i had runny bowel movements. I had a midwife appointment later that afternoon and she said i was in early labour but not to go to hospital until the pain was worse or my waters broke. About nine that night i went to the hospital.
Labour can feel different and have different symptoms for different people, so if in doubt talk to your midwife or doctor.
