I had a successful vbac thanks to God! I will have another one too. Its an amazing experience and I pray to have another successful vbac only without an epidural this time. I pray for a natural successful vbac in Jesus name! :-) :-)

my doctor supports vbac.. its still better than c-section thats what she says.. it depends i guess on the doctor.. coz they also need to look at your situation and i guess its situational..my doctor is a good friend and is an aesthetic so i trust her on my case..

When my doctor told me she wanted me to have a repeat c section her first reason was convenience.  She said "Well you're in and out in an hour" and "you can pick the time you want". And throughout these last few weeks and especially this past week she has proved that's why through her actions.

My doctor tried to push me into getting a vbac. I am going for the c-section. I did my research and i just made my decision on that. There is a risk of uterine rupture which most women dont worry as much about for whatever reason. But due to the fact that i have already had to have a funeral for one of my children...i am not taking any risk of having to have another one. But i dont know about your drs not wanting to do them or " making up reasons not to do it " but my dr actually argued with me about it because i said i am terrified to have to bury another child. They are still trying to push me into a vbac. I will carry my baby full term but i will be having a repeat c-section.

I had a VBAC. Everything when fine.I choose to have one with my 2nd baby because I know I want at 5 to 6 kids and sometimes there can be a limit to how many c-sections someone can have.

They do these days for money and convenience to themselves. It's the reason the c section rate here is over 33% (highest in the world). Follow the money trail. Doctors are only trained in worst case scenario as well and not natural birth. additionally outside factors affect this such as induction (many doctors are encouraging this because it's either convenient to them to put you in labor under their watch or because some moms are uncomfy and asking for it), epidurals also increase the chances because they can cause heart decelerations and prevent you from moving in labor which helps baby move down the birth canal. I'm not saying all c sections are bunk. There are still some that are of course needed. But the large majority in this country are caused by the interventions doctors do (epi, pitocin etc) or by a doctor being impatient and wanting to just get the baby out so they don't have to sit in the hospital waiting for you to give birth under baby's timetable. There are even more factors affecting the rate but what it all boils down to is not understanding natural birth and intervening when it shouldn't be done.

Watch the movie business of birth. Its on netflix and youtube its very insightful they also have more episodes with things they didnt get to cover as much on in the movie as they wanted. Ricki lake made it. Its very insightful.

Could you explain how and why a dr would make up a reason to do a c sec? Just curious why they would do a major surgery like that for no reason.. my dr sure would not. My mother only had one due to my brother dying at birth... weird..

Very pro vbac as the majority of c sections in this country are done for made up reasons rather than true need. Just do your research. There are doctors all over who do vbacs. My own mom had 3 vbacs! The safety of a natural vbac is proven in many studies. I would join a vbac support group for help with this but it is absolutely possible and I know many women who have had successful vbacs. Go for it!!

I'm pretty sure drs don't really do them or like to do them. It can cause problems sometimes. My mom had one and said it was awful.
