Why are you asking this question?? Is there a reason why you would deliver at 26 weeks??? My aunt was forced to deliver by c section at 24 weeks because of toxemia (severe preeclampsia)... her daughter was born under 2lbs and had to stay in the NICU for 3 months... they both almost died but today both are doing well... my cousin is 6 years old now... she has a lot of health problems but her biggest problem is asthma... she has to go to the hospital a lot and get admitted for breathing troubles
My hairdresser had a baby at 26 weeks. She's 7 now, she is so tiny but healthy. She didn't have any white blood cells or something like that I can't exactly remember. I hope you're asking cause you're curious. It's too early for the world to meet your bub, stay put little one!!
My family has experience in this area my cuz in had twins at 24 weeks and one died and the other one has cp so yes it is possible but with lots of problems
Yes I want know are you in labor & if not y are u thinking about that
Good question Lexus3232....after I posted I was like man, I wonder if she is in labor and that was the reason she asked!!!
Yes u can but are u in labor? Theres medicine to hold back labor
Yes it's possible!!! They do have more medical problems, but with a good NICU team, the chances are decent!! I have had two preemies!! Two of my friends had 24 weekers and they both survived!! One of my friends also had a 26 weeker and it also survived!!! Google it, you will find a lot of helpful info!!!
it's possible, but extremely risky. Your baby's lungs haven't finished forming at this point, so it would need help breathing if it were born this early. Premature birth mostly happens between 32 and 37 weeks, and earlier than that it's much more dangerous. Are you in premature labour right now? Good luck, I hope everything is ok.
It's possible. Chances aren't high and there are often life long medical issues involved. I think it's 28 weeks before they say with confidence a baby will survive with medical problems. 32 before it will likely not suffer life long medical issues. Of course the longer it stays in the better. There are probably reliable stats somewhere online to give you exact percentages.
