That's your best bet to take them at night.

I had severely low iron with all my pregnancies and the iron pill did the same to me. I take them after breakfast and/or before bed. Sure they tell you to take them on empty tummy but if u cant keep them down they dont do any good. I got used to them each time by having a breakfast sandwich and oj then took it.

There *are* iron shots, but man do they give you a huge black-looking bruise on your butt for a while.  Talk to your doc and see if they can recommend another iron product, maybe even a tonic like Geritol?

I cant take iron either. With each pg I have tried but get sick. My dr told me to simply take 2 flinstones vitamins daily and i get an iron shot if i drop low.

Have you tried the Novo-ferrogluc Elemental Iron pills. They have no taste and have been the only thing I could take to keep my iron level normal.
