postpartum questions

I got a csection a week ago. So I have some questions for you ladies who have had one. My stomach is all lose now, when or will it go back yo normal? Is it going to take like a year? I'm losing weight really fast because I literally have no appetite. Nothing ever sounds good. I eat like one meal a day and i have to force ot down. I know thats very bad I just cant bring myself to eat. Is this huge lack of appetite normal? How long did you have to take your pain meds when you came home? I take mine only if the pain is unbearable. My inscion is infected so yea its still pretty painful..and then this brings me to my next question. This is a long one. The main reason I've had to prolong taking my painmeds is three years ago I have surgery to remove an ovarian cycst. Since the csection I've had this horrible burning sensation, like can't breath pain that makes you cry and it takes everything in you to move. Worst then the csection pain right where my scar is from being cut open three years ago. My doctor said its scar tissue which I have a lot of. They found that out when they did the surgery. I was actually told I'd never get pregnant bc of it being so bad. Has anyone had experience with this. Im perplexed cause I did not know scar tissue like this would cause me such pain. Its been just so awful. If anyone can help me with my questions I appriciate it.

Weight wise, its not really good to lose weight too quickly, either after natural or csection birth.
As if the tummy skin stretched a lot,it would take much longer to get back to prepregnancy shape.
Steady weight loss would be ideal.
I had that with my first, within 8-9 months I lost almost all 19 kgs(natural delivery)
But with my second ,it was c section,I lost almost all of it in the hospital ,I stayed in for 6 days, due to post surgery infection.
Plus my skin was so stretched after my second baby, who was very large,4.200 kgs(around 9.2 lbs)
Loosing weight so quickly, was bad, skin did not have time to adjust to new shape, for that reason it took me 1.5 years to get back to flat tummy.
As for pain meds,I was in terrible pain, it took me more than 2 months to start walking normally, straight, not hunched forward.
I was taking Nurofen(Ibuprofen 200 mg)every 4-6 hours,for almost 3 weeks.
Could not survive without pain meds ,after 3 weeks,it got better and I stopped taking anything.
I am about to have my 3rd baby,via c-section in 3-4 weeks!
What helps to speed up the healing,is sufficient movement ,and of course not overdoing it, getting enough of rest, which means, sleeping when baby sleeps,no matter how much you want to clean or do other household chores.
Good luck with your recovery!

Also another important point,do not wait till pain gets unbearable, take pain meds,on schedule.
This way it really works and helps you move around easier and speeds up the recovery.
By the time you take the painkiller, if you are already in a lot of pain, it would take so much longer for it to work.
Good luck!

I will be having my 3rd c-section at the end of January and honestly felt the same way you do after each one, the hormone change made me loose my appetite but it gradually comes back. If your incision is infected it will cause you to be in more pain, I assume you have already been back to your doctor for an antibiotic and the infection can cause more scarring. I also have a lot of scar tissue from my c-sections and it does make it harder to conceive but not impossible. Don't feel bad for taking your pain medication you have it for a reason. From personal experience I had to take mine on schedule for about 9 days then was able to get through with only one in the morning and one at bedtime and by 2 weeks post surgery I didn't need them unless I over did it.

Mine shrank back after my first but after my second who was huge, I'm 4'11" and she was 8lbs 4oz and 22" long at birth stretched my skin out so bad it never went back to normal, and it's been 6 years, oh well though I love my kids and maybe one day I can splurge on a tummy tuck lol.

I'm about to have my 3rd via c section and my skin on my lower belly has never gone back to normal cause i lost weight too fast. It's harder to get it back cause the muscle there has been cut.

Yea I know my mom had extra skin with me her whole life. I just was hoping it would go back I'm small to and I was carrying big. They thought I was measuring a week and a half ahead and I ended up with a 7lb 2oz baby instead of 8 or 9lb baby.
