31 weeks and Braxton hicks?

This might be a stupid question, but this is my first baby and I have had a very great pregnancy and have been very blessed since I got in a horrible car accident at 29 weeks. I am on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy and sometimes cannot tell if the pain I have is from the accident or the pregnancy.  My question is what do Braxton hicks feel like?

Braxton Hicks come randomly and are usually painless. Just stomach tightning and it relaxes on its own. Also blood/ water breaking are both signs of labor. I hope your doing well with your recovery!

Braxton hicks can be painless or painful. The pain is like a mild period cramp. It feels like a tightening from your belly button to your vagina. It can vary in intensity. The main difference between BH and contractions are timing. Bh are random, sporadic, and vary in how long each one lasts. Sometimes they are off and on for a few minutes or a couple hours. As long as you have no bleeding, you are usually ok.
