Actually sperm count is a 24 hour cycle so only once a day is really necessary... but if you know it's coming try having sex the day before you ovulate to increase the chance of there being some swimmers still cruising around when it starts :)  Also I found it super helpful to take one in the AM and one in the PM if I knew it was coming.  I used Clearlake and got pregnant 3rd cycle after starting the tests after 7 months of trying before that.

I got pregnant with first responce ovulation tests :)
I was so sceptical it would work that I bought like 2 or 3 packs.. and I think I still have 2 unopened.

Good luck! :)
