hemorrhage

Hi just a quick question, I went for a scan yesterday after a bit off spotting when wiping the baby looked to be ok and the heartbeat was seen however the scan showed slight a hemorrhage opposite the sac the midwife didn't seem too worried about it and said it sometimes sorts itself out so discharged me from the EPU but did say if I have anymore bleeding to go back and be scanned again and they would measure the hemorrhage. I've got another scan in 2 weeks that has been booked for a while just not sure what to expect to see on that. Anyone ever exerienced this?
I'm 10 week 4 days.

Just a quick update on this had my dating scan yesterday @ 12 week 6 days and there's no sign of the bleed so must have just dissolved away. So far everything is looking good :)

Yeah. They didn't put me in bed rest. But, they did tell me to take it easy. They told me pelvic rest until we know what's going on. The doc explained to me that there's really nothing that can be done in the first trimester to ensure any positive outcomes. To just go with the flow and try not to stress too much. (Hardy har har...)

A subchorionic hematoma is very common in the first trimester of pregnancy.  It usually resolves itself within a month. There have been cases in which it takes some more time to clear. Bed rest..no pelvic activity recommended. I hope this helps.

There is no fear in the world like the possibility of miscarriage. At least for us. I bled until week 14. I went to the er and passed huge clots. My husband was catching them and making sure our baby wasn't in there.  We are now 32 weeks Wil Bo bleeding since 14. I was put on progesterone for the hematoma and subcoreonic hematoma.
We are all doing well. If you have a fear, get checked. It will be for your health and that of your baby. Not to mention your husbands sanity...

Wow sounds like it's more common that I thought. I searched online when I came out of the scan and couldn't find much positive about it but sharing these really helps! Fingers crossed for all of us!

Going through the same thing. Placenta is just slightly detached...said it usually heals itself...but still scary. I've been bleeding little for 3 weeks now. Have had 2 ultrasounds and baby is doing great. I go back Monday and am hoping for good news. I am 11 weeks now.

Yeah. I'm right there with ya on the "thin" part. My pre pregnancy weight was 120lbs. Which turned out to be in my favor. They told me I could gain an extra 5/10 pounds in this pregnancy without worry! (YES!!!) Lol.

On the scans that they would do, you could actually see the black lining of blood that was surrounding the baby. They said my body would either expel it, or absorb it. I thank God that the baby didn't expel right along with it. In that same sentence, I was a nervous wreck the whole time I was bleeding. I mean, this is my FIFTH pregnancy, and I had NEVER run into any major complications.

I genuinely hope your outcome is the same as mine. I'll be sure to keep you in my prayers. Keep us posted! =)

thank you thats reassuring, I've had two scans already thru bleeding and my 12 week scan in 2 week and if all goes well I'll be having regular growth scans cos I'm very slim so hopefully will be able to keep a good eye on what's going on in there!  Wow not long to go! Good Luck, hope she makes her appearance soon and all goes well :)

That's what they told me with this pregnancy too. I had bleeding throughout my whole first trimester. I thought for sure I was having a miscarriage. I had quite a few ultrasounds to ensure the baby was still there and okay. Here I am. 38+ weeks. Strange how things work out. For the first trimester I was praying for her SO hard to just hang in there. Now I'm praying SO hard for her to get out! Lol

I did with my 3rd pregnancy and everything was OK. By the time I delivered her I didn't hear about it at all. Just take it easy no heavy lifting and you will be OK!!
