Raspberry Leaf Tea & Labor!!!! Help Ladies

I'm 39wks +2d and scheduled for c-section on Tuesday-23rd, having mild contractions here & there not consistant nor strong enough.  I've been taking raspberry leaf capsule for about 5 days now& no luck, just took the first cup of the tea with hopes it works between now and Monday if i take it 3-4 times a day-I really don't want c-sec, had that with my Twins & was not good experience. Any ideas and experiences with this method

I would be to! I've never gone to 40 weeks.by the time I am at 37 weeks I just want it over and start doing everything I can to speed things up. My husband loves it cause he gets all the sex he could wish for and I dont even care if I get off. Its all about the sperm at that stage.

Normally they dont induce when going for a VBAC. Induction and epidural are the leading causes for emergency c-sections. This will be my second VBAC. I was ravenous for information when I went for my first. I was dead set on not having another c-section. eveyone is different and has different comfort levels when it comes to birth. I hope everything goes smoothly for you and your recovery isn't bad.

I guess because of my previous c-sec, I don't know if it is safe to induce with VBAC, which was what initially signed up for

Red raspberry leaf helps strengthen the uterus and is really good for women to take year round. Spicy food, walking and sex at wonderful at inducing labor. can I ask why you are scheduled for a c-section? If your pregnancy is normal why would you opt for one?

Thanks Ladies,  you all are right, it's not doing much for me, I just get slight movement when I drink it, I guess I keep drinking it since I already bought 6pk. I'm bracing myself for the c-sec in 2days and looking forward to holding my little angle.

Raspberry leaf tea did not do much for me, but I went to the store and bought a pineapple, cut it up and ate the whole thing...went into labor the next morning. Could be coincidence, but it might be worth a try!

I definitely could be wrong though... Did look it up after you asked, and I see where people do talk about using it larger doses in the end. Just don't know anyone personally who has used it to induce, sorry. Good luck! Maybe try some of the other methods out there too.

Hmm my understanding is that red raspberry leaf does not induce labour... Its recommended every day in second and third trimesters to tone the uterus and improve recovery, 3 or 4 cups a day. I've been drinking it every day for a bit now and I'm early third trimester.
