Raspberry leaf tea? Did it work for anyone?

I'm considering it. I am racing the clock to avoid a c.section and have a second successful vbac!
Theyre being rather discouraging though. The baby is estimated to be 8lbs 12oz already! Hes only getting bigger! I know they arent 100% accurate but its not too far fetched seeing as how my first 2 were 8lbs 13oz (c section) and 9lbs 5oz (vbac). Both times I went into labor on my own but laaaaaate! Now theyre watching me very closely and talking to me about anesthesia and everything and Im so stressed. The bigger he gets, the more likely to push c section theyre gonna be!
So please do not say "if the baby is ready..." or any other equivilent... I know I really have no control over it in the end but I thought Id try everything I could so I know I tried!!

Raspberry leaf tea...has it worked? For anyone?
Other natural ideas are welcome.
Walking is painful,my feet are so swollen. Sex has never worked for me. I meant to buy a ball today to sit on but spaced!

I'm 33-34 weeks and couple of days ago I started drinking rasp leaf tea. Cup a day. I learned it takes few weeks to kick in and work. I'm hopping for a quick delivery since I plan on natural drug free labor :-)
Reading and learning lots on this subject I really believe in it ! Good luck to you!

I drank a lot of raspberry leaf tea in the three or four weeks before my son was born last year. He was born four days after his due date, however it was a very very quick labour and delivery. I'm wondering if the tea had anything to do with it. I will be drinking it again this time in case it did help!

For me the tea didnt work. Its suppose to thin ur cervix making it easy to dialate. I drank that thing morning day and night for three weeks and i never dialated. I had the bouncy ball for a month before and didnt work. I tried the famous pineapple and nothing. I was on bedrest the entire pregnancy so walking was out of the question. I didnt swell up at all but i had so much baby weight that my cervix and lower back hurt si much to walk. I was forbidden from havin sex through the entire pregnancy until week37.

When i turned 39 weeks i was so fed up and done that i asked my husband to lets hav sex even though it was SOOOOO painful for me and uncomfortable but that same night my water broke. She came real quick and stil had to have a csection. I never dialated more than 2cm.

I think that because i was a high risk pregnancy ny water would have broke way before that with sex. Lol

But i would say try them all girl....its frustrating but i would say they are all worth a shot! Good luck

Oh and ur insurance should cover all but the yoga just call and ask if you need a referral and I am sure your doctor will happily write you one.  Mine gave me a massage one a long time ago :-)

Raspberry leaf is more for helping the uterus work better.  It is more likely to assist you in a quicker easier labor/recovery then to put you into labor.  Sorry :-(.  I have been doing it since 36 weeks and I am 41 weeks 1 day with doctors giving up on me at 41 weeks 4 days and giving me a csection since I was attempting vba2c.   I suggest prenatal yoga, chiropractor, acupuncture and/or prenatal massage.  My baby is jammed in my pelvic bone and I didnt learn that I wouldnt go into labor unless she moved until two days ago.  The chiropractor is helping me try and get her in position.  Prenatal yoga woulda have helped with this if I had even known such a thing was possible.  If your baby is in proper position the acupuncture and massage definitely could do the trick.

Thanks! I read if youve had contractions itll be more likely to help. Ive had a few, described em to my dr and she said they sounded like the real deal but I wasnt dilated but I was softened. So idk

I found just walking and doing squats helped.  At the end of each of my pregnancies I would be on my hands and knees as much as possible.  Ive never tried the rasberry tea. Though I have heard it works. I have asked my doctor about it. He said you need to drink it for quite a few weeks for it to do anything.
Good luck hun
