Anybody else have to pay for baby boys circumcision out of pocket even though you have medicaid?

@buhbuh.. How long ago was that? I live in fl and when i had my son 3 yrs ago i paid 400 for it and was on medicaid. Wondering if its changed since then since im having another boy.

I live in Indiana, Medicaid paid for my son's 7 years ago..

Well I have two sons and live in n.o and it was 150.00 for my first son which is 4now and 175.00 for my second son which is two now. But thats just my doc I heard others were like 300-600 just ridiculous

I done it for my son as we are muslims and its very important we do it. In the u.k it cost us £85

I'm in Canada so no medicaid here but we have to pay the hospital 195 plus the surgeon has a few too. As far as I know no insurance covers it because it hasn't been  deemed medically necesawdy

In Oregon I heard it was $500 well it was 3 years ago when my nephew was born

I'm having ds #2 in KC, MO and it is not $600! That's insane. My first was no where near that much 16 months ago, and I doubt it has gone up that much for when #2 comes in 8 wks!

In Minnesota It's 850$ If Insurance Doesn't Cover It

Its only $100-$150 in Colorado depending on the hospital, I think. Doc gave me a disclaimer before the anatomy scan. It was covered with my last boy in 08, but thankfully this one's a girl!

My doctor wants 110 up front for her fee before the baby is born and the hospital will bill me anywhere from 200 to 400 for their fee. I live in arkansas and have arkansas medicaid but having my baby in missouri.

I didn't have to pay for my son, but then again that was 3 years ago. Yet I haven't heard of people paying for it

We even hve to pay for it in Australia where nearly all medical care is free, it cost between 300 and 400 to do my son 5 years ago

Insurance covers here. I think it depends on your insurance I have Aetna ppo

We have insurance through my husbands employer and we've had to pay for both of our sons circumcisions because its an elective procedure.

You do in north Carolina but in south Carolina your insurance covers it.

Im in Florida and from what I have heard from anyone who has had boys in my area say you have to pay out of pocket no matter what kind of insurance you have. Stupid how insurance can decide for us whats cosmetic or even an elective procedure.
