I had always wanted 3 but my husband only wanted 2 - and now expecting our second I agree with him, we'll be done after 2, they'll be a bit more than 4 years apart. He feels like he's getting too old to keep starting over (he'll be 37 when this baby arrives and I'll be 31) and we both have further educational goals and career goals we are dedicated to achieving. We also don't really want to be outnumbered. I don't want to have more kids than I have hands. And I don't want to buy a minivan.

I always said I just wanted one and since my boyfriend is older than me he has 2 teenagers a 16 and 14 year old and now he's having another son I think I'm just going to be content with the one since he seemed to be a long shot anyway but I've learned to never make plans because life just happens most of the time

At first I said 2 or 3. But now I say take one kid at a time and see what you can handle. If you plan too much in the future you might set yourself up for disappointment or unrealistic expectations.

Just had my second baby another boy, hubby and I would love to go for a third and final baby, hopefully a girl.  I used to want 4 kids, but I'll settle for 3. :)
