I'm 30 weeks and have nothing. My sister in laws are planning my shower, it should be happening in a little over a month. E don't even have our nursery emptied out from being used as an office and it still needs painted. I'm not stressing though. We'll get things at the shower and my hubby will work on the nursery. If it's not ready in time she can always sleep in a borrowed cradle in our room until it is. Don't stress, things will come together.

I'm in the same boat... ftm and everyone keeps saying wait until after the baby shower (which is in april) but I hate going to Walmart and target and seeing things and not buying it for my little girl....

I didn't start buying things for baby until I was 33 wks, this is my second baby and not having a baby shower this time around.  although my first baby shower was at 38 wks.  I had everything just in the nick of time to receive baby at 39 wks.  U probably dont want to wait until the last minute like I have, cuz I'm now 38 wks with my second baby and all that's missing is the diaper bag which should come today.  If ur having an uncomplicated pregnancy then u have plenty of time to get what u need, if not then u want to start getting everything or at least know what u want until the baby shower with time to spare.  goodluck..

I'm due in 9 wks and pretty muich having nothing. My shower is on sun so I'm hoping to get the majority of what I need then. My sister was 4 and 5 wks early with both of her kids so I'm really nervous that my baby will be here in another 4 wks or so. When I walk into the baby's room all I see is a crib, a rocker and a dresser. I have a few outfits but they are all at my dad's house being washed since we dont have a washing machine. And I don't even have a mattress for the crib or a bassinet. So needless to say I understand where you are coming from !!

I know it's hard but if you expect lots of gifts I would hold out for a bit. Would have been nice though if you could have scheduled your shower sooner. For now try to save money so whatever you do end up needing you can buy it all right after the shower. Good luck x

I felt like this too I was due July and waited until  June first week of June. Go by some things I felt better after I had got a few out fits and a blanket and a few cloth diapers.  I would just wait on the big things.

I had my babyshower a few weeks ago and items are still trickling in and I am sure they will continue to until she arrives. I didn't really buy much before hand but I also had my baby shower when i was 30 weeks. I would say buy the essentials so you have them just in case amd then you can always return or exchange if needed later. I would rather have 2 of something then nothing
