I ate a big bowel of youghert and 30 min later I was in the bathroom for. An hour with gas. My little brother thought it was funny as hell cause he heard it all the way in the living room!! Lol.
I had the same problem, and the stomach cramps would last for a few hours. It was awful. Anyways my dr said i might have been a little sensitive before and never noticed and now since digestion and all changes its full blown intolerance. The best thing that worked for me is lactate (lactose free milk) but yogurt and cheese is fine bcuz it loses its lactose in the process.

I use rice milk and almond milk in cooking and cereal only. Nothing really tastes like milk but I had to stop drinking glasses of milk and eating yogurt. I watched Dr oz ( which is not usual for me but I caught this one) and he mentioned that most people are actually lactose intolerant but ignore the symptoms or attribute it to something else. But as another person posted, you have to cut foods to see what the problem is.
Thanksmy mom drinks soy only because its better for you. I think it tastes horrible. IThis is my third child and I have never had this many problems rather pregnancy symptoms with my other two children.
I'm 29 weeks now and around 20 weeks I noticed that I would feel terrible eating my cornflakes and drinking milk....of course my biggest craving...Milk! The nausea,bloated feeling and constant burping feeling lasted about 4 hours after having it.I was told that most likely I was lactose intolerant due to pregnancy.In the mean time I have tried almond, soy milk and soy coconut milk......yucky. Best option to me is lactose free milk...not the same but better than nothing.Mine is a mild intolerance since i have no pain, dia.or vomiting.Good luck try going without and then having a cup . .test if linked to how you are feeling.
Being pregnant can trigger it. To be sure, you should go off all dairy products to see if you feel better. If problems still persist than it most likely isn't lactose intolerance.
