c section VS vaginal delivery

Mothers who has had both, how is the recovery difference?

I'm SO AFRAID that I won't be able to push my baby out. I'm being induced next week (I'll be overdue). & with my son I had him at 38 weeks and was threatened a c section twice because I couldn't get him out. I ripped and had to be cut and the doctor had to use a suction cup to help and I still barely made it. He was only 6lbs 15oz. Also I wasn't as big with him as I am with this baby....so just in case I was wondering what's the pain difference and healing difference

My first was vainal and I was cleaning my room that next morning. I had him at night. 2nd was cesarean. It was a horrible recovery. Took weeks to stand up straight. She was in the NICU and I didn't see her for 24 hours because I couldn't get up and get in the wheelchair.
Good luck. Either way... youll have an experience to share. =) I have no troubles looking back. But im choosing vbac with my 3rd. My cesarean was due to her being breech.

If I have a choice it will be vbac after my csection it took weeks to even have my full strength back.  Where with the vbac two days later felt fine.

I would give anything to avoid a section this time around but can't.... Sections are great for saving baby's life but so tough to recover from when caring for baby and other kids. Also my aunts biggest baby was her last (first three were under 8 and last was 10.9) and she Said her last was by far her easiest... Good luck mama

Ok, so was your first baby face up? They're hard to push out regardless of size and usually require a cut and suction or forceps. Hopefully you will do better this go around. I've had many close friends go through c section and all I have to say is this is my 3rd child and I want a normal delivery. Recovery is harder with a C.

What I liked about the csection was that it wasn't painful because they numb you and even after I only felt gasey. It was when I had to walk around that it felt uncomfortable. It felt like it was burning. It took a couple weeks to feel ok with walking. I also only took Tylenol and no narcotics. It might be easier with heavier meds. I chose not to.
