baby before due date?

I had my midwife appointment today and was told that my baby girl is 3/5th engaged and she measures 38 weeks already (im 36 weeks and 4 days). Could that mean that baby might come before my due date?

Or it could mean nothing. Baby can be engaged and you can be 4 cm dilated for weeks. Or you can go from 0 to 10 cm in a couple hours. Every baby is different.

I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead and dr said my due date is staying the same regardless. Can always change but no it doesn't mean anything

I definatly should have asked midwife bt I only thought of it when I got home. when im with the midwife my mind goes blank and then I overthink about the appointment and what she said when im at home and got time on my hands lol. I thought maybe theres mothers who have gone through this who could share their experience with me.

Thank you love4alan for sharing ur experience, so I shouldnt get my hopes up :/ lol I wish she come sooner than later though as its getting really uncomfortable to walk. With every step I take I feel like a stab to my cervix... :( not fun at all

from 36 weeks i was measuring up to a week more than i was im now 40 weeks +2days and im still measuring 42 weeks and I'm 3/5ths palpable, its up to your body when it wants to let go you could go over like myself or early

Yes it could mean that. You probably should have asked your midwife that. Or she should have explained what that means.
