Am I about to go in labor?

I am 38 weeks and 5 days and I'm due to have my son on May 16.I've been having chest pain where I can't hardly breath,headache and pain in my back today.The doctor told me yesterday that I'm 30% enfaced and 1cm dilated.
Can someone tell me what this means?

It means it'll only take a couple more days now congratulations! Buy try to hold him in until the 16th, only the best are born on the 16th May (my bday lol) Good luck!!!

I'm due the 15th, 2cm 50% thinned out. Unfortunately it doesn't really mean anything until little one is ready. With my first I sat at 3cm for a month :/

Im 1 cm and fully effaced... 38 weeks and 3days and i cant wait... doctor told me shes dropped more so hopefully sometimes next week...goodluck!!!!

I'm also due May 16th but went to doctors yesterday and have no progress, was told to walk and have sex this weekend and if he doesn't come on his own by this weekend I go to doctors Monday to schedule an induction date because they don't want me to go past my due date because they say he is big
