I lost health insurance 4 days before my due date and now my doctors office is refusing to see me. I am currently 40+3 and having contractions but nothing cosistent. If i go to the hospital can they just induce me?

Look up the web site yourchildbirthguide.com it gives a lot of natural induction techniques that you may not have thought of. The essential oils used as a aromatherapy are thought by many to be safe during labor and to start labor. They are not recommended during pregnancy due to the starting of contractions.

What you are describing is normal for inactive labor. If you relax and just let your body work, it will start active labor soon. Stressing over it will slow everything down and can even cause it to stop. Just relax. your body knows what to do

^^Agreed. The hospital can NOT deny you medical attention due to no insurance. I'm actually going through the same thing.  My Medicaid was cancelled (for some reason) just 2 weeks before delivery.  My doc office said they'll still see me and once my Medicaid kicks back in they'll send the bills to them. I was and still am stressed about it, but what can I do? I've already taken the proper steps now I just wait. At least I know if she comes ealry the hospital will for sure see me.

The hospital cannot refuse you due to no insurance but if you don't have consistent contractions and your water has not broken,  there would most likely be no reason to induce unless baby would be in distress. You can always go to labor and delivery at hospital to get checked.

Ive tried all the natural safe ways of inducing with no luck :( i feel like my body has been trying to go into labor but cannot successfully do so on its own. I had cosistent contractions the other day but they eventually stopped. Last week before i lost insurance i was 1 1/2 cm dilated and 50 % effaced i feel like ive made some progress but I don't know for sure because they refuse to see me.

Start doing some natural ways to induce. There are a bunch to try and even pressure points and some aromatherapy can start more consistent contractions. If none work go to the hospital and tell them you are going over due and have been having pain and contractions that have yet to become insistent and you think something is wrong. They will probably go ahead and induce you, they can't risk baby because you don't have insurance. They can leave you pregnant forever.

I think it depends if u are dialated or not. Because frpm what i know is that u can even go over a week after ur 40 weeks. Have u tried walking?

Wow! What a drs office. I actually paid cash and at 7 months i finished paying off the $1700 for my prenatal care and one appointment after i have the baby, and i can go walk in or set up an appointment to go see the dr anytime. From those $1700, $800 are for the dr when im in labor once my eemergency medicaid covers the labor then i would get refunded what ever medicaid covers of  the birth.
