must vent about my ob

I've been taking zofran since i was 5 weeks pregnant bcuz my hormone levels are so high that i have suffered from the worst morning sickness all day every day well the last week I've been having some good days where i don't need it 3 times a day anyways is prescribed for me to take it every 6 hours as needed and I've only ever taken it 3 times a day so i called my ob office to get a refill cuz i only have 2 pills left she puts me on hold and comes back to tell me the doc said if I'm still getting that sick and need the medicine that much that he wants me to get a PIC line I've had a pic line with both of my previous pregnancies and they s u c k it's an at home IV system where i have to give myself fluids everyday to keep me hydrated i told the girl the medicine does what it's supposed to do it stops me from throwing up but when i don't have the medicine i throw up!! I haven't been throwing up bcuz i have the medicine!! So now i have to drive almost an hour away to see the Dr in the morning too tell him this and have him write me a freaking script when they could just call it in i have an appt with him next Wednesday to get my us done to see what we're having but now i have to go at 9am tomorrow just to get my medicine the only good point about this is I'll probably be able to hear the heartbeat but i just see it as a waste of my time and money spent in gas to get out there so I'm really aggravated about it i can't go through getting a pic line put in again it's the worst it's this huge catheter they put in my arm and it's threaded into the main artery in my chest it's just painful and too much work to go through! So I'm not looking forward to it i took this same medicine the whole 9 months with both of my previous pregnancies so i don't see what the big deal is now

My doctor only told me to take zofran twice a day not 3 times and I have been taking it throughout ny pregnancy bc my morning sickness comes and goes and I have like 60 pills sitting next to me I would def get another doctors opinion bc that just seems like alot of work and non sense stress to think about lol ( im 34 + 5 days also if that helps)

I agree...I would look into a new one before a new Dr won't want to take you on.

I would definitely look into a new doc. I drive about 30 mins away to my doctor, and if I wasn't so happy with him, I'd get a closer one.

He better just give me the freaking medicine cuz if i start throwing up again like i was before i will definitely be looking into another doctor besides this one annoys the heck out of me by repeating the same thing at every appt and he's in and out before i can even ask a question and it always seems like when i do ask ?s he has to stop and read my chart and i think shouldn't you do that before coming in here so you know what and who your dealing with here? I'm just so annoyed...

Maybe its worth looking into a new doc? Pic lines are no fun. I took care of my niece when she was 3 and had a pic line after a rare pneumonia strain hit her and her twin hard. Good luck tomorrow.
