I also have GD and my daughter is measuring small. I'm 37&4 she measured 4 1/2 pounds. I trying really hard not to worry. But I do because if I have her now she'll be considered a premie and I won't be able to take her home when I'm discharged. Yes she's healthy n chunky.
I'm measuring small at almost 34 weeks I go in for another ultrasound we will see what happens
Yeah. I'm a diabetic which usually means big babies...but so long as she's born healthy I'm not worried about it if the docs don't seem to be
Im 34 Measuring 30 weeks and my baby is 4 pounds so now i have to go in 2 times a week they said she was in the 25% portal for underweight same situation
Yeah. They didn't seem to concerned and I go to fetal monitoring twice a week. But the doc said everything else was normal just that I should start monitoring her movements so I'm going to and just to go in if I'm worried
This happened to me but my outcome was very different then the rest of these ladies. I was measuring small from 30 weeks on as well. It turned out I had a small placenta and my son was born at 35 weeks due to low fluid. He had iugr and was 3.7 lbs. He was very healthy thank god. But it could always mean something else is going.on. I'd ask them about your ultrasound and question them about your placenta just to have piece of mind.
With my son they kept telling me I was measuring big and he was going to be a big baby? He was 7 lb 14 oz so in the end he was average weight :) I wouldn't worry too much x
I was small at 32 weeks as well and then my last 2 appointments I was right on track.
Yeah. I'm not worried to much since she's as big as I was at birth at 38 weeks. So long as she's bigger than me I'm ok with it
Try not to stress. They base it on an average. Smaller or bigger than average doesn't mean anything is wrong, it's just not average. Remember that growth varies. Mine was "small" at 28 weeks and then jumped 4 weeks ahead at 30 weeks, now she's "big". Babies size will most likely average out as you get further along. :)
