I still have back pain from my epidurals and my last one was 3 years ago.. I only had 3 epidurals and I have 5 children, two I had natural... one natural hospital and one water birth at birthing center. With each epidural I had more back pain after, my back hurts right where the tube was placed and badly.... man I wish I would have had the opportunity to do water birth with all the others..lol.. labor has always been a pain in my back...

I did a water birth and it was much more pleasant than the hospital births. I love all my children, however there is a stress factor to hospitals that doesn't exist in birthing centers. I won't lie and say the water is the same as the epidural; however the epidural gave me a spinal headache not to mention a back ache and it left me stuck in a bed.

I had a water birth. My last I had at a birthing center that offered a birthing tub in every suite. I think there is 3-4 birthing suites and each was set up for just about every kinda birth. Birthing tub, birthing ball, rope from cilling for giving birth in a squatting position, full sized bed. .. it was hard for me to decide but I wanted to do water birth... it helped a lot with pain and was a wonderful experience. I would suggest it to anyone who has a chance, it really is great. Have I mentioned it's great...lol.. I plan on having this baby at the same place and it also be a water birth.
