cold cuts

I know you're supposed to warm cold cuts, but is it ok to warm them and then make them cold again?   I ask because we make a meat pie for Easter which is baked in the oven but then I like to eat it cold.  Is that ok?

The reason you are supposed to cook the lunch meat is because it is prone to Listeria, which is a bacteria that can cause serious illness. Since you already cooked the meat in the oven, the bacteria (if it is on the meat) has been killed. Same reason why we can't have soft cheeses (unpasteurized).

I was told even cold cold cuts, like ham and turkey, especially fresh ones, are ok to eat, just to avoid bologna, salami, pepperoni. But if you're already cooking it, I think it's definitely ok to eat cold. Good luck!
