Labour

So I've been getting contractions that are 10 minutes apart and lasting between 10-20 seconds.

Could this be it?

I'm nearly 39 weeks. Just spoke to the midwife and she said the same about 5-1-1 rule.

They've droppes down to 8 minutes apart and 35 seconds and my last one was 4 minutes apart and getting more intense.

How long have they been spanning over? If they last over two hours and start to get More frequent, like we're 3 minutes or so, then it might be labor. How far along are you?  I've had these type of contractions since like 6 months

Could be the start. Our hospital recommends the 5-1-1 rule. Once they are 5 minutes apart, last 1 minute each, and continue in that pattern for over an hour, time to go. Exceptions of course are water breaking (go now) or if they are so bad you continue to be unable to talk or walk through them.
