Work ahead as much as anyone will allow. My first came a day early. If you want to try to prolong delivery, I'd suggest you don't let the doctors strip your membrane til after finals, and maybe even get a little lazy. The more active you are the faster you'll dialate, in general.
Good luck though, with school and baby
My first baby was 3 weeks early and she came all on her own! See if you can work ahead and take to your professors about the possibility of not being able to take the exam on time. If they are not cooperative go over their heads to their supervisors etc.
In general most first time mom's go over there due date. Perhaps you could work ahead with the professors who are willing to work with you. If you feel you are being discriminated against you could talk to the Dean. Maybe the professor in question would be willing to work with you on a contingency. .... if your dr provides a note closer to finals that he thinks you will have the baby before your due date, then the professor might be willing to allow you to take the final early?
I have explained my stitutation to them but there is one professor telling me I would have to withdraw the course if I didn't finish the whole semester so I don't know where to go from there
Ask to take the final early, explain why you want to, to the professor.
If I were you I would ask my professors to give me any final exam they require early. I'm sure they would be ok with it and would appreciate your attentiveness to the situation.
Most of the babies around me have been born late
I would work ahead if i were u. I'm also in school. I'm in my last class before getting my degree so taking a break wasn't an option for me. .. since i have history of early pregnancies i worked ahead with the ok of my teacher. Finished my final assignment today and there is still 3 more weeks of class left. Good luck
Babies are typically born 38-42wks. I know a lot of first time mums that went over but I would really just be taking a guess if I said you would.
