Just dress the baby in layers to keep him/her warm. I think the rule is one more layer than what you yourself are wearing. That way you can take off a sweater if you think they are too warm. I am from Canada so it gets real cold here! They will be fine.
Yea it should be fine. I live in MN and im due in December. You just bundle them up real good. That is pretty young to travel how far away is it? Flying or driving? You may find you dont want to go with a newborn, it can be difficult not having all your luxuries you do at home. Quiet nursery, rocking chair, bassinet etc.
The stuff we worry about as moms, lol. Your baby will be fine! Just dress him/her accordingly, no need to over dress. If you have a sweater and are comfy than baby would be comfy too.
If you are driving make sure the baby is only wearing a thin nacket or something and not bulky in the car. Extra padding in an accident can mean more space for baby to move the the car seat and can be dangerous
If you're flying, be sure to bring lots of extra diapers on the plane and blankets, baby clothes and maybe even a couple extra tops and bottoms for you. And rubber baby pants/diaper covers for baby. There's something about the change in elevation and air pressure that causes babies to poop EVERYWHERE when flying.
Otherwise, just keep baby warm in Tahoe and all will be well.
Look up baby car seat covers. It's like a sleeping bag that goes around the car seat carrier and protects them, very convenient and you can use the buckles still. Just get warm clothes for the baby. I'm from the north east and due in February. They are fine. If you are ok the baby is ok.
It's about a hr and a half/ 2 hour drive. My husband is the one who is worried but I didn't even really think about it till he said it. And I got a little nervous lol. I figured if I dressed him accordingly the baby should be okay. I wasn't planning on putting the baby in the snow it would probably just be from the car to the house or resturant etc that he'd be in the cold and even then I would have the car seat covered so he didn't get a big drift of cold air.
They also make onsies type pieces of clothing that looks like a big sleeping bag but you can still use the car seat buckles. We live in wyoming and due in December. Just make sure you put plenty pf blankets around him and on the carseat
Lucky you! I live 8 hours away. I love Lake Tahoe. We went there for the honeymoon & baby moon (but it got cut short). I'd say just layer up & be careful around large crowds.
