Back to back

Im 38 +1 and my boy has decided to flip back to back. Midwife said lots of pelvis tilting to try get him to flip back. Hes also very big and could be due to him not having much room. My backs so sore. Has anyone else had this and did your baby flip back around before labor?  This is my 2nd baby. Hes also 3/5 engaged

My first daugther was back to back through labour, she started turning in the birth canal but didnt manage it, and did need forcep assistance just to turn her a little as she decided to come ear first. With back labour the contractions feel very different and radiate from your back and there is a lot of pressure on your back passage. With my second I was very nervous as the midwife told me she was back to back a few weeks before I was due, however knowing in advance like you do, with exercises and laying on my left etc she did turn and labour was easier. Good luck and try not to worry just keep at the things to help reposition little one. All will be ok either way xx

My daughter was born sunny side up facing 1'o clock. She didn't need any assistance at all and was born 7lbs 11oz and was 13 days late... Labor was only 8 hours and she was my first. They says I should have had horrible back labor from her being face up but I didn't.

I had similar with my son,  he wound up flipping again,  back to where he was supposed to be, but while in birth canal and in labor,  he turned slightly so he wasn't positioned properly,  they used the vac and got him out safely.  He was 8lbs 14oz 20 inches.
