Cyst on placenta?

At my 20 week ultrasound my doctor notices a cyst on my placenta..he didn't seem very concerned, and scheduled me for another ultrasound to check it in 4 weeks.
He said if had grown then, he would send me to a maternal/fetal High risk specialist for a more in depth ultrasound.
I told him I couldn't wait four weeks, so I am getting an appointment with the specialist sooner.
The baby is very active and is the right size, but I am still worried.
Anyone have any experience with a cyst on the placenta?????
I am having trouble finding anyone!!

My sister had that and they scheduled her for a follow up and it had gone away after some time!

It should be fine they just want to make sure there is plenty of room for baby to grow. I think it ws on baby Center with some of the ladies who's cyst grew large or burst had there baby early. But generally they don't cause much bother. So hopefully yours will be no problem to you or baby

And was it just one or was there multiple cysts. I was just reading more and it said they will keep an eye on it and regularly check baby's  growing is on target.

I haven't had this but I just looked it up and it seems that there is likely to be no risks related. The only risk it could have is if it keeps growing it may restrict babies growth. did he say what size it was.

He didn't say...just that it looked large.
I go to a specialist next week.
So far baby is moving a lot and has a strong heartbeat, so I'm staying positive!
