nonpregnancy related health issues while pregnant?

Is anyone else going through non-pregnancy related health issues while pregnant?  I am just about 14 weeks and was unexpectedly diagnosed with gallstones very early on in my pregnancy due to an overnight trip to emerge.  My gallbladder needs to come out and infact the surgeons debated whether it needed to come out right away. It seems to have calmed down a bit and the surgeon i am seeing is hopeful we can wait until after the baby is born.  That is the goal anyways! I am struggling with eating since there is so much i can't eat without the risk of having to have emergency surgery which obviously would not be the best for our baby. Our whole house also caught the stomach flu which was just so fun when pregnant and dealing with a puking toddler.  That coupled with all the usual pregnancy symptoms like nausea, fatigue, mood swings and cravings is more than i can handle. I have lost 22 pounds so far with no sign of slowing down.  Anyother time that would be awesome but not while pregnant!  I also just discovered that i have a small hematoma between the placenta and my uterus (cant recall the exact name) which isnt causing problems but google isnt your friend sometimes! Oh and a cyst on my ovary too!   My first pregnancy was so uneventful yet this one has been rough. I have doctors appointments left and right which i know means they are just watching me closely but i am usually a healthy person and not used to weekly appointments!  I know it will be worth it in the end but it seems so far away!

Sorry to hear you're going through that. I had a complicated pregnancy too and just had our 2nd son 2 days ago. When I was 21wks pregnant I had my gallbladder removed in emergency surgery and everything went great. Wishing you and baby all the best!

So sorry to hear you have to deal with all of this. I am on my 3rd pregnancy and I too recently was diagnosed with a hematoma (sub chorionic hematoma) and a cyst on my ovary. I am 8 weeks and have my doctors appt Tuesday so I'm hoping I get some more answers. I will be praying for you and your baby.

Sorry to hear that! Makes pregnancy so much more stressful when you have to deal with other issues as well as the usual stresses of pregnancy and life in general! I am confident we will both have healthy beautiful babies!

Yes, I'm dealing with hsv2 or genital herpes. I got it about 2011 and I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant. The stress of pregnancy on my body makes out breaks more often and I am now just weighing doing a vaginal birth which is what I've always wanted or getting a c section. Vaginal birth would be just fine because doctor prescribes meds at about 33 weeks to take until birth, but I just don't know if I want to risk passing it to my son. It's hard, but I'm doing what I have to do for my health as well as the baby's.
