In desperate need of advice!

Hi, I am really needing some advice. I had sex on the 2nd of January. I had a positive pregnancy test on Jan 23rd. My doctor and the health department kept saying I was supposed to be 8 weeks as of yesterday (feb 20) when i went in yesterday to do an ultrasound, it showed that i was 5 weeks. there was a sack that she measured, and a very, very small baby in the sack, so small she couldn't measure it, but that is where I should be at 5 weeks. so instead of her saying that the dates may have been off, she tells me there is a chance i could miscarry and that if it happens just stay at home and let nature take it's course. Needless to say, i was hurt, and confused because everything looked ok for 5 weeks. I am having bloodwork done this week to see if my levels rise. Can anyone help me?

The reason she said that is bc if you are 8 weeks and the baby is that small, than its not growing. She is supposed to keep you informed even if it makes you worry like crazy. But techs have also been easily wrong when they are so little. I would go off of your blood work bc that won't be wrong. Good luck! And try to stay possitive.

I'm sorry to hear that... I wouldn't worry too much about miscarrying right now... Keep positive and remember you can always get a second opinion... Don't stress you probably are only 5 weeks... I've never had anyone tell me that I would miscarry but I've had my timings be off before... With my first child I know my last minstrel was in January at the beginning and when I went in March to get checked they said it was February and baby was due later than I expected... It could be the case with you... U couldn't got pregnant right before your next period or you ovulated later... Good luck and congrats... Oh and again don't stress not worry about it... It will ask work out...
