ob history?

I just found out last week that I'm pregnant and I have a Dr. Appointment Monday. On the card it says the appointment is for ob  history. I'm not sure what this appointment is for can someone explain please

I was too and I was very disappointed  when I went to that appointment  a day she didn't try lol but I get it now I probably  would have been way more upset if she had tried to find and couldn't  I probably  would have thought  the worst..  But 12 weeks isn't that far off and if your anything like me time flew by :)

Hi @crystal252 I tried to send you back a message but might not have done it properly...  They probably won't look for heartbeat  at that appointment as it's still very early to detect with a Doppler..  My doc didn't even try until 12 weeks..  Even then she told me not to be alarmed if she couldn't find it it's still a bit early and could be hard to find..  How far along are you?

Thanks so so much does anyone know if they will try to hear the heartbeat yet? This is my third baby but its been seven years since my last baby I'm soooo lost lol

Yep. They will probably also do a pap if it time for you to have one.

I pretty sure they are just going to do a medical history such as past pregnancies(if any) blood pressure etc.  The should do weight..  Then will give you the paperwork  for blood/Urine testing to confirm pregnancy and make sure everything going good with baby :)  congrats
