When do I need maternity attire?

Hi girls, I'm now week 9.. and not showing yet, but I was wondering when I might need a larger size of clothing?
I have fairly tight and petite wardrobe so
I picture myself not having a thing to wear if I suddenly grow out of my regular size..
which week did you start to wear larger sizes?
Just thinking when I need to prepare..?
thanks girls!

I started w pants at 9 weeks...my pants were pushing on my lower stomach too much and I didn't want the baby to feel smootched in there ;) best thing is when u feel ur clothes are getting tight either but reg pants bigger or reg size maternity pants.

I go to 2nd had stores where I find pants Capri's for $3-$8. I like wearing maternity pants as they are very comfortable and I feel I look well put together for work.

Whenever you cant button or zip it, its time. Good thing is, spring is here n mommy clothes are cute n dresses are in season. So either way just wear whats confortable, dont squeeze into anything. And if your clothes fit, wear em.

Wow trendy top is much cheaper, I wish  I had known. I had to get bigger bras at 13 weeks. I bought the bellyband and some pant hook extenders at the same time. I can wear most of my tips with these. I only have one prepregancy jeans that I can wear. I'm 25 weeks now.

Good luck

^^ya the trendy top is the same concept as a belly band! Just a lot cheaper! ;) and becauseit is cloth material it.looks.more like just a long shirt you are wearing. Looks like you are "layering" your shirts! :)

Im about to be 38 weeks and I havnt bought one item of maternity clothes. I didnt want to waste the money so I went and boit the as seen on tv "trendy tops" (google it) at cvs 2 for $10 and leave regular jeans unbuttoned and it covers it and also covers my tummy and back if my shift comes up because of my big ol belly!! Lol hope that helps you like it helped me!! :)

I bought clothes at 13 weeks & they carried me through 7 mos.  I did go from a d to an f in my boobs so I had to buy bras twice in that time.   At 7 months I traded in all my stretchy maternity jeans for yoga pants.

I've needed maternity clothes as early as 9 weeks (one of my previous pregnancies), and as late as 24 weeks (this pregnancy). When your clothes become uncomfortable on your tummy, it might be time to get some. You shouldn't just all of the sudden need different clothes, it's more gradual typically. Good luck :).

I'll probably need maternity clothes in the next month.
