older kids having really bad separation anxiety at daycare what can I do?

I have twin 3year old boys. One does great whenI leave him at school, the other one screams........I called to check on them and Xander is still screaming over an hour later for me. I have a doc apt. today, I'm 37wks.4days. Been having contrac. every ten min. apart and I'm so big I cannot reach my pedals without my belly mashing into the steering wheel. I have been having my Dad take me to my ob apts....should I pick my son up? And then risk him thinking he can do this every time and mommy pick him up? Or should I let him cry it out? Either way I feel like a terrible Mommy!!!!!! Thoughts?

From working in a daycare, its all about how you leave. Don't diddle or stall. Say your goodbyes and go. The longer you stay the harder it gets. Picking him up is a no no if you want him to be in daycare, picking him up cus he cries will only make him think its oh k. Also sit down with his teacher and the boss and see if theres something that can be done to help him cope. I had received a lil boy but he cried all day, and so another teacher took him and he was just fine. Dunno why, she wasn't always nice.. but thats how he was. But normally if mommy or daddy stuck around to long the kids started to cry.

I will say let him cry it out cause if you don't he will depend on it.

Let him cry it out. If you pick him up then he will start it more and might even want to sleep in the bed and always thinks a tantrum will let him get his way
