weight gain :(

Hey everyone,
I just found out that I'm pregnant and I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I'm very happy and excited, just wish I was in better shape. I'm currently at least 15 pounds heavier then I was when I found out I was pregnant with my first (who is now 4). I gained almost 60 pounds with her!! I want to enjoy this pregnancy and not dwell on weight gain but I also want to avoid gaining more then necessary, like 60pounds!! Any advice on how to maintain a healthy weight gain?? I'm not looking forward to blowing up again!

Yes I feel bigger too! I look and feel bloated. I'm so early on but still wish I just had a big belly already haha! Currently snuggled on the couch with my 4 year old as well.
I can't wait for my first appointment as well..two weeks.

I agree Charlotte31! Its hard to see your body cha he so drastically (even though its for a wonderful reason) I stressed so much my first pregnancy and felt so unattractive. IM pretty sure I annoyed my husband daily with "do I look fat" comments.
During this pregnancy I just really want to embrace my changing body, BUT still stay healthy and active. I've already gained a couple pinds but I also found d out in was pregnant after being on a two week vacation at the beach, so I have a head start on weight gain :(

I feel exactly the same! :( my son is 4 and I'm 8 weeks on Thursday either my second and feel huge! The scales say I have put 4 lbs already even though I havnt eaten any differently? I lost quite a lot of weight after my son for my wedding in December and I'm not looking forward to it coming back on again :( it's depressing me seeing my body change already! I know it will all be worth it but at the moment I just can't see past the weight gain x

I am currently pregnant with my second child I was over weight when I conceived 219lb and that was a result of my last pregnancy. I am happy to say that I am currently 32weeks pregnant and I am 226lb. Its not too much weight gain but my baby is getting all the nutrition she needs. Every pregnancy is different and I suggest you eat 3 small meals a day with 2 snacks in between. That has really healped me out.

Try to incorporate a daily walk into your schedule.  Even thirty minutes a day will help. Also maintain healthy eating habits, lots of fruit, veggie and protien- but don't feel bad if you cheat! And don't beat yourself up about weight gain! You'll be fine:)

I don't keep sweets or junk food in the house, so if I'm hungry I'm forced to grab fruit/yogurt/veggies. Try not to be too hard on yourself though. My doc said that some women gain a lot of weight because it's hormonal. I was worried about gaining a lot with my second one and she said to eat healthy and walk a lot, but there may be nothing I can do about it.
