Im 24+4 today and I've gained 10lbs. I think it is fine that you have gained 16 there is nothing wrong with that. So maybe till the end you'll gain like 35lbs that's completely fine :-) no worries. I gained 48 with my first lol, but also lost 15 in the beginning due to hyperemesis.

I gained (so far) a total of 35 lbs for this pregnancy and I'm only 4'6 ... and my doc informed me that as long as I'm healthy and the baby is ok then it doesn't matter how much I gain cause it will all come out cause most of your weight gain is the placenta

Don't feel bad, I already gained 18 lbs and I'm 16 wks.  I started off at 134 and now I'm 152.  I was like this with my first pregnancy as well..

Each body is different. Just make sure you are eating healthy. Frame, shape and size affect the recommended weight gain. I wouldn't worry if you are eating balanced meals and no over doing the eating for two. My first pregnancy I gained 35 pounds.
